BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are committed to advancing new museum-wide strategic initiatives that update the visitor experience and connect our audience to art and culture at Palm Springs Art Museum, Architecture and Design Center/Edwards Harris Pavilion, and The Galen/Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden.
Contribute 75 hours of museum service (averages 6 hours monthly) each fiscal year, October 1– September 30. Hours are earned through direct volunteering, attendance at meetings and training sessions, museum-sponsored enrichment activities, and designated travel time.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and passion for the museum.
Attend service area training sessions, docent tours and gallery talks related to new exhibitions.
Be punctual and prepared for assignments.
Understand and be familiar with MSC Guidelines.
Secure an MSC substitute when unable to fulfill an assignment
Active PSAM membership
Computer access including email address
Completion of application form and process
Celebrate MSC recognition at annual Spring appreciation luncheon plus Fall welcome back and Holiday events.
Enjoy enrichment opportunities including art and architectural lectures and tours, trips to other museums and cultural institutions, and meeting other art and education enthusiasts.
Share your passion for art and culture. Share a dose of desert hospitality with visitors from our Coachella Valley community as well as those from around the world.
